Aging Awake!

with Anna Douglas

White Heron Sangha is pleased to sponsor a two-day, non-residential retreat with Anna Douglas, PhD., one of the founding teachers of Spirit Rock Meditation Center.

In addition to her leadership at Spirit Rock as one of the senior dharma teachers, Anna has taught classes and retreats in the Insight Meditation tradition nationwide for 30 years. Anna ‘s lifetime of experience makes her an authentic and trustworthy guide. She knows the territory of spiritual awakening, and takes great delight in supporting people in the process.

She has created retreats for women, for artists, for yoga teachers, and more recently, retreats for those 55 and over who want to explore their aging process as a spiritual practice. She is currently writing a book on aging as spiritual practice. See Spirit Rock retreats for more information about Anna's classes and retreats or learn more about her at facebook.

"It is a wonderful time to be practicing Dharma. With age, one's understanding of anicca, anatta, and dukkha has ripened, and therefore the true meaning of the Buddha's teaching is more accessible than ever."

Please join us, whatever your age, for silent sitting, walking and deep dialogue about the experience of practicing with the aging process. This retreat is suitable for all experience levels.
