White Heron Sangha is dedicated to continuing the ancient Buddhist tradition of freely offering the dharma without charge, knowing that it is priceless. We encourage the practice of dana, which means generosity in Pali (the original language of the Buddha). This generosity of our community pays all the expenses of the sangha and supports the teachers we bring to our area for workshops and retreats, White Heron Sangha programs, and some dharma-related causes. All donations, regardless of the amount, are appreciated by everyone in the sangha. The "Vipassana Metta on Hawaii" website (www.vipassanametta.org) provides a beautiful and clear explanation of the meaning of dana and its importance: See what is “dāna”?
 

If you have questions about donating to White Heron Sangha, please contact the treasurer. Donations to White Heron Sangha, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, are fully tax-deductible and can be made in the following ways:

Online
Filling in the form below will take you to PayPal, where you can make your donation by credit card or as an automatic withdrawal from your bank if you already have a PayPal account. PayPal assesses White Heron Sangha a small processing charge per transaction. If you are making a donation for a specific retreat or cause, please indicate that in the donation category and comment field when filling out the form.
In Person
You can donate to White Heron Sangha in person at each Sunday sangha meeting or sangha event. You may donate by cash or check made out to White Heron Sangha.
Recurring transactions
Some people have also set up recurring donations to White Heron Sangha through their bank. This is an easy way to remember to give to our community.
