This year’s school-end event at the Santa Maria Rice School Pantry will be held on May 26. Some changes have been made to how this event is being advertised to ensure that our Rice families are able to access food. As always, we appreciate the help of Sangha members and community generosity in putting on this event. It is fun and if you haven’t yet engaged in it, please consider doing so at the next opportunity this fall!
But you do not have to wait until then to get involved with the Pantry project. We need of volunteers to stock all of our pantries and especially the one that is now housed at the Prado Day Center.
We are struggling to keep this stocked and would really appreciate the help from other Sangha members in signing up to help with this pantry. You will get all the support you need in terms of how to do it, just reach out to Kat Tuculet and she will get you started!
For the past few years, Anne Marie Bergen has been coordinating our Pantry Project and has done a stellar job for us!! Alas, all things are impermanent and so, too, is Anne Marie’s leadership as she is needing more time for personal responsibilities and pursuits. So, within the next couple of months we need someone new to step into this particular role. If you are not intimidated by organizing and would like more information about this. Also, please don’t hesitate to send Anne Marie a note of thanks for all the work she has done for this program!
