Invited Teacher Natasha Bruckner - Gathas
Gathas, or practice poems, give us a simple and powerful way to deepen mindfulness practice in daily life. Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh (Thay) wrote many gathas and suggested that we integrate them into everyday routines. Thay's insight on gatha practice and a collection of gathas are available here:

Natascha Bruckner (she/her) is a writer and an editor. In 2011, she ordained into the Order of Interbeing with Thich Nhat Hanh and received the name True Ocean of Jewels. She received Lamp Transmission as a Dharma teacher in 2021. Natascha completed a two-year chaplaincy training program at Upaya Zen Center, and she volunteers in a men's prison with a Buddhist sangha and a restorative justice program.
Reverend Zachiah Laurann Murray (they/them), M. Div., is a Registered Landscape Architect and Certified Massage Therapist. They are an ordained minister in the Kriya Yoga tradition and a Shodan in Aikido. Zachiah ordained into the Order of Interbeing with Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh in 2011, with the name True Lotus Ocean. In 2025, they received Lamp Transmission as a Dharma teacher. As a steward to the land and all its inhabitants, Zachiah encourages us to remember we are made of the Earth—we “belong” by our very nature. They are the author of
