"Contemplating the Four Reflections" with Mick Malotte
This morning will include an introduction and short descriptions of each of the Four Reflections. This will be followed by non-guided silent periods of sitting and walking meditation to enjoy contemplating the four reflections in our beautiful center and surrounding nature.
The Four Reflections are Precious Human Existence, Impermanence, Karma and Samsara.
These Four Thoughts that Turn the Mind Towards Dharma reorient us and bring juice and heartfelt motivation to our practice.
They move us away from being caught in reactive suffering and instead towards a more lasting happiness, fulfillment and joy. Through them we can open to the basic human goodness and awareness that we all share.
This retreat is suitable for those new to meditation and also those with experience. It's a great way to revitalize your meditation practice.
Please join us as we practice together in support of one another.
Practice Leader: Mick Malotte has been practicing and studying meditation for 30 years, mostly in the Insight and Mahamudra traditions. He completed Spirit Rock's CDL teacher training in 2017.
