Centering Yoga
Update:
In-person a
ttendance is now open to all individuals who are free from cold/flu/COVID symptoms, regardless of COVID vaccination status. Attendance on zoom will continue to be an option for the Sunday Program.
Centering Yoga is a gentle, therapeutic yoga class focusing on developing functional and pain-free range of motion, stability, strength, posture, balance, and flexibility. This gentle approach combines the 'effortless effort' of T'ai Chi with the alert relaxation principles from Integral Hatha Yoga which welcomes every condition and ability.
Fran Dukehart
is a Master Movement Artist, who has been teaching Yoga, Mindfulness Movement and T'ai Chi as a healthy lifestyle for over ten years. Her passion and love of dance, wellness and movement encompasses training in the Art of Mime which infuses her teachings with laughter and good humor. Fran's goal is to build confidence in allowing the breath to lead each movement.
All are welcome. Students may practice in a chair, on the floor, or standing. The class is adapted to the abilities of each student.
You may want to finish your meal at least an hour prior to class, hydrate well with water and dress in comfortable clothing. Bring your mat, cushions, blankets, strap and anything else to support your practice.
The suggested donation for this class is $10-15 or what you can afford. No one is turned away due to lack of funds. If you donate online, please include a note that it is for Centering Yoga. Thanks!
