Dharma Dialogues
Dharma Dialogues facilitated by Claudia Coleman
An Opportunity to gather as a Sangha and have an enriching conversation about the Invited Teacher’s talk the previous Sunday.
Following a short bio of nico hase and a synopsis of his talk, we will gather into small groups. Those on Zoom will be in breakout rooms and small groups in the center. The members will be given three open-ended questions for discussion. People on Zoom or in person are welcome to stay and participate by simply listening if they prefer not to speak. There will be time to come together and share what came up in the groups. It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn from others.

Song we will be singing together
Self-Appearing Illusion
All these forms, appearance emptiness
Like a rainbow with its shining glow
In the reaches of appearance emptiness
Just let go and go where no mind goes
Every sound is sound and emptiness
Like the sound of an echo's roll
In the reaches of sound and emptiness
Just let go and go where no mind goes
Every feeling is bliss and emptiness
Way beyond what words can show
In the reaches of bliss and emptiness
Just let go and go where no mind goes
All awareness, awareness emptiness
Way beyond what thought can know
In the reaches of awareness emptiness
Let awareness go, oh, where no mind goes
Composed by Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche in the Garden of Translation near the Boudhanath stupa in Nepal.Translated and arranged by Jim Scott, March 1998. Translation copyright 2012, Jim Scott
Discussion Ideas:
1. What can we learn or experience by singing Khempo's song, Self-appearing Illusion?
2. In your meditation experiences, are you aware of moments when you have a sense of yourself? What is your experience of this sense of self? Does it bring suffering or dukkha with it? Are you able to let it go, and become aware of peace or absence of suffering?
3. What do we learn from the story of Bahiya?
