In these challenging times, and with our meditation center temporarily closed, it can be easy to feel isolated, adding to our fears and anxieties. This is right at the time when we need our dharma practice the most. Meeting and practicing together online can help us stay connected and strengthen our practice.
This group currently meets online using the Zoom platform every morning at 9:00 am. On May 15 this will change to 8 am. Sessions last 45 minutes. We have different facilitators leading each day. We begin by sitting silently for 30 minutes. The facilitator reads an inspiring poem or short paragraph before or after the sit. Finally, there will be time to connect and talk about our practice and check in with each other.
Feel free to join us in whatever way supports you best. You could just drop in on some of the sits. Or, use the series as a way to commit (to yourself) to sit regularly during this period. It’s even okay to join a session if it’s already in progress.
