Announcing a virtual sitting group that will meet each morning for two weeks starting on Monday, March 23.
In these challenging times, and with our meditation center temporarily closed, it can be easy to feel isolated, adding to our fears and anxieties. This is right at the time when we need our dharma practice the most. Meeting and practicing together online can help us stay connected and strengthen our practice.
This group will meet online using the Zoom platform every morning at 9:00 am for two weeks, starting Monday March 23. Sessions will last 45 minutes. We will have different facilitators leading the group and will sit silently for 30 minutes. The facilitator will read an inspiring poem or short paragraph before or after the sit. Finally, there will be time to connect and talk about our practice and check in with each other.
Feel free to join us in whatever way supports you best. You could just drop in on some of the sits. Or, use the series as a way to commit (to yourself) to sit regularly for the next two weeks. It’s even okay to join a session if it’s already in progress.
