The Center may be closed but we can still practice together through the wonders of online video conferencing.
Join us as we practice Somatic Meditation together in a supportive environment. Our bodies experience life beyond just our thinking minds. In this group we will be learning practices to help us to meditate and live our lives from an embodied state.
Although we hold a Buddhist view, this is a practice group, not a study group. Meditations are guided by Alice Reinheimer.
We will meditate both lying on the floor and in our sitting posture. You will need to set up your home space with mats or blankets in order to be comfortable on the floor. You may want to use a small towel or pillow to use under your head to make yourself more comfortable, and a tie or yoga strap is helpful.
We would love to be able to see you while we introduce each other and chat before and after the session, so please be able to adjust your online device so we can see and hear you.
This is an ongoing practice group and is open at any time to participants who have experience with somatic modalities such as qi gong or hakomi. If you do not have any somatic meditation experience but would like to attend, please contact Alice at email@example.com.
We will meet on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month, from 5:30 to 6:45 PM online on Zoom. We won't meet the 4th Monday in December or during July and August. We ask that you sign up on Eventbrite in order to let Alice know how many people to expect. There is also a sign up option if you are only interested in receiving emails for the group.
