White Heron Sangha welcomes teacher and author James Baraz for a two-day online retreat.
"Just as fear is contagious, so is the centeredness that we develop within ourselves."
In this time of crisis and uncertainty, our mind can move towards confusion and fear, or towards clarity and connection. Our practice gives us tools to stay present with the swirl of mind states and emotions that naturally arise as well as the centeredness to respond with wisdom and compassion. We can be Thich Nhat Hanh’s “calm person in the boat” transmitting our own balance and clarity to others in our lives. Just as fear is contagious, so is the centeredness that we develop within ourselves. At this time more than ever, we need everyone who cares to show up as best they can to help bring about the shift of consciousness that humanity and the planet desperately needs.
Join us in this two-day online retreat. Practice at home, but not alone, as we support each other in deepening our connection in the midst of it all. The retreat will include dharma talks, silent sitting meditation, mindful walking, and question and answer sessions.
We look forward to supporting you on this retreat. If you choose to attend, we are asking that you commit to the retreat with the same integrity you would bring to a retreat in a residential setting.
